Black & White ideas

While I'm waiting on prices for my 300 page monster, I've already decided what my next book will be and have started pieces for it.

Everyday I will do a quick sketch on 8.5x11 with pen or brush, or both only. No pencil, so set up, no real plan. I'll draw what comes out. Some will work, some won't, but you'll get to see them all. The only tweaking I will do is add tones digitally to add a little depth to the work. I'm going to try to keep each sketch to about 30 mins.

Here is the first experiment done with brush and digital tones.

Enjoy.

It would be great if you found some way to capture some of these quick sketches on your ustream. I love the sketches you do so far digitally, but would be even more interested to see your technique with the brush pen on paper.

Jim Lee has a couple videos. I think he just ghetto rigged a web cam over his shoulder or something.

Dude, that looks hot. This is not using Sketchbook pro, I take it.

Hey Skottie, will you be going to SDCC this year?

Hey skottie when we gonna get another draw block? it's been a few weeks man?

And yeah it would be raw if we could get some draw blocks or other ustream of at least some of these. I understand not wanting everyone to see everything before it comes out, but maybe you could just stream it live and not record it and only do some of them or something.

No worries

You could always sell your blog sketches at cons on the cheap for the collector w/ moths in the change purse. Just a thought.
Keep being a bad a-word.
