Moving on UP....or at least moving
Thursday, November 20, 2008 at 12:06PM
Casey and I have moved again. Casey's family opened their house to us and we'll always appreciate the chance to chill there while we hunted for a house. We just moved into a house here in Princeton, IL and it's crazy. We went from 1400 sq ft. apt in a 3 flat to a 4000 sq ft house on a 3 acre wooded lot overlooking a small bluff with a creek at the bottom. How sick is that.
Emma is doing great and has gained a little over 10 lbs. in the last few weeks.
Here is the cover to Wizard of Oz #3
Once I'm caught up from the move I'll get back to posting more regular.

congratulations to you guys on the new house 1400 to 4000 is pretty impressive.
Princeton's a nice area. I like riding my bike up around there when I get the time.
Congrats on the move, Skottie. Love the new cover art and the sketchbook is awesome. I'm really looking forward to reading this.
Congrats! I'm clocking in at 500 sq ft myself. Probably, the size of your closet. 4000 is shweeeet! Do you ride your bike through it just admiring how much space you have?
Great work! I loved the OZ sketchbook. What a great idea!
Ya' should have moved back to Bristol. ; )

I cant wait for your OZ. The sketchbook looks great. Enjoy Emma at this size, I have had large dogs (newfs and St Bernards) all my life and the are the greatest. And congrats on the new abode.
congrats on the house, skottie.

Congrats on the house, man.
Oh, and the cover is sick! That and the sketchbook got me so pumped that I don't want to wait any longer. You just passed the Umbrella Academy as my most anticipated mini this year...
Small world. My wife's family lives in Princeton.
Hope you like rural life. It takes getting used to.
What the eff happened to Nashville..!?! Damn!
I'm kidding--congrats, y'all! I'm happy your search has ended.
Sick. I love all of your art. It really makes the cartoonist in me want to come out more.

wow 4000? I'm looking at some places around aurora and dwight, but 4000 sounds nice. love issue 3 art. nice work!
hey man, i just read your post on hip hop...
i have that conversation for hours practically every week with various people....I could probably write a thesis paper on the state of hip hop now, as Im sure you could..haha. Now with Kanye's cd out, that conversation is like every day....I've debated starting my own hip hop blog, but I would never het any work done...haha
Check out this cat K'naan. Hes very very good. The Dusty Foot Philosopher is a classic cd. But is you ever want to shoot the shit on music, hit me up.

Loving the inkwork on these! Congrats on the new place.
4,000 square feet? that's not a house. that's bonafide mansion.
insane...and i thought our 2,600 sf house was big. then again, you're a lot taller than me, so you need the extra space to spread out. and your dog will be a beast in no time, so he'll need a good 1,200 sf on his own.
oh yeah, the art stuff is rad. as usual.
glad all is going well. things are crazy here. paper i was editing shut down...forcing me to freelance a lot more. but we've not gone hungry yet. d brantley
I just love your work with the wizard of oz,this drawing has got to be my favorite
